K-2nd Grade--Less than a week left to register!

RISE is offering an 8-week relationship and healthy bodies education session at Holston Valley Unitiarian Universalist Church for Kindergarten-2nd graders—and the last few spots available are not open to the public. There is a mandatory orientation for guardians and children on Jan. 19 (12:30-3, pizza provided). Classes begin Sunday, Feb. 2 and run from 9:30-10:45. Community members are welcome to attend. If you are interested in this program for your child, please register as soon as possible as there are a limited number of spots available.

The Our Whole Lives (OWL) sexuality education curriculum is age-appropriate, trauma-informed, and inclusive and affirming. OWL programs nurture and support the three Rs of childhood sexuality education--respect, relationships, and responsibility--by helping children increase self-respect and respect for others, build relationships with members of all genders and with many kinds of families, and understand their responsibilities regarding their own health and that of others.
