Thank you, friends of RISE!

RISE has benefitted from such generosity since we moved in to our new office in February. Actually, we always benefit from such generosity, and we are so grateful. Specifically we’d like to shower a little thanks on folx who have helped through this transition.

Jess Harmon gave us 5 comfy armchairs to get our lounge area going—just what we needed! You can see four of them below in the “after” shot of our lounge area that will house books, our kitchenette, and, beginning in the next school year, storytime for kiddos!

Mikaela Cooney gifted RISE with a lovely new set of tools that we have used, so far, to fix our front door, remove various old ethernet boxes and blind fixtures, and cut away painter’s tape.

An anonymous donor graced us with a Nespresso machine and coffee. This thing is the bomb and we are all happy and well-caffeinated!

Suzanne and Jay Emberton donated and assembled a massive, fantastic desk with hutch that Jessie will enjoy for years! You can see it in the “after” shot of our office below.

We have even received a couple of plants to help us feel at home! Thanks Cheryl Birkeland, Millie, and Jackie Roberts.

And the following folx dedicated time and a lot of elbow grease to strip wallpaper, paint, clean, and generally make our office more beautiful and inviting:

  • Keegan Armstrong

  • Cody Braswell

  • Austin Carpenter

  • Alan Davis

  • Kade Emerson

  • Izaak Fitzpatrick

  • Ryan Fonbuena (visiting from California!)

  • Celeste Gonzales

  • Dalton Ingraham

  • Milea Ketron

  • Tim Malone

  • Kayla Mandrigues

  • Ivan Porche

  • Jackie Roberts

  • Leslie Rodgers

Thank you to everyone who supports RISE every day, all year round—you all know who you are and we are so grateful. We honestly would not exist without you all!

We are still looking for a few things, including a refrigerator/freezer in good working order and a couch in good shape. If you have a party fridge you are looking to rehome or a couch you are replacing, please let us know!
