RISE: Healthy for Life provides and promotes responsible, inclusive sexuality education that emposers all people through a culture of consent, respect, and compassion. RISE builds:

• A positive, fact-based, holistic approach to sexuality education.

• Cultural competency.

• Relationships with partners and communities.

This work is driven by people with diverse skills, experiences, and identities based on research and identified needs.

Students in Tennessee public schools cannot, by law, receive accurate, comprehensive sexuality education. As a result, most youth and adults do not have the sexuality education they deserve—and need. So we work to educate people locally and encourage statewide legislative change. We apply a trauma-informed approach and aim to change culture.
