You might be wondering what crafts have to do with sex ed. Well, sexuality education is about more than biology and physiology. Comprehensive sexuality education teaches us about sex AND sexuality. We learn about intimacy and the things we physically like (love cotton) and don’t like (really not a fan of wool) to feel. We learn about power dynamics and respecting people for who they are. We practice having difficult conversations about things society would really rather we not talk about. We do all this because it’s important. Communication, respect, and responsibility are important for building any kind of relationship, from coworker to parent, partner to friend.
