As ultraconservative zealots work to tear down human rights, RISE works every day to build up human beings. Our volunteers and staff mobilize right here in our community, working with our youth, our neighbors, our educators, our service providers, and our healthcare professionals to transform sexual and reproductive health culture from fear based to fact based, from oppression to affirmation.

Exciting New Initiatives

In response to the continuing dangerous and irresponsible restrictions on wellness education in TN public schools, RISE will launch “Health on Wheels” this fall, mobile education and resources for high school students in our area.

In response to feedback from survivors, RISE, other local organizations, and public health students at ETSU will launch “YAS!” (You arr safe!), a social media campaign to destigmatize survivors, educate the community about sexual assault and the myths that surround it, and provide information and resources for people of all ages, genders, and orientations.
