Stellar Sex Ed engages adult participants in an expansive exploration of our inner and outer space. Free of judgment, Stellar Sex Ed dismantles stigma and invites honest, compassionate curiosity about bodies, identities, and relationships. Welcome to a new age of sexuality education!

This training will take place in person at the Johnson City Public Library on April 27th from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. You must register for this training in advance. Class size is limited, so sign up now to reserve your spot!

This facilitator training will share how and why the curriculum developed as well as strategies for guiding a well-rounded exploration of whole people, especially when cultural norms might challenge scientific and psychological reality.

Stellar Sex Ed covers:

• What is sexuality?

• Sexual anatomy

• Sexual response

• Body image, sex, and gender

• Romantic and sexual orientation

• Power dynamics in relationships

• Healthy relationships

Facilitators emphasize the importance of grounding decisions and creating boundaries based on personal needs, comfort, and values as well as respecting others decisions and boundaries.

RISE recommends at least two facilitators work together on any workshop or class, so if you are considering sending one facilitator trainee, please consider sending two or collaborating with another organization. Let us know at RISE if you might need cofacilitators—we love collaborating!

It is important that responsible, inclusive sex ed is accessible to everyone, so we have a tiered donation structure. If you cannot donate toward these classes at all, that's cool. Please sign up anyhow.

• Tier 1: No donation, same great experience.

• Tier 2: $30 donation, covers some of the cost of this workshop.

• Tier 3: $65 donation, covers a little more than half the cost.

• Tier 4: $100 donation, covers the entire cost.
