About our proposal
Emotional and sexual health are two important aspects of every person's life that are stigmatized in the U.S. and especially in Upper East Tennessee. As a result, people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ folx, trauma survivors, and children, youth, and adults all lack access to information and trauma-informed care of all kinds.
Collective Impact for Emotional and Sexual Health is a broad coalition of individuals and organizations that centers the people we serve and seeks to create deep, positive change.
This grant would give our fledgling initiative the push it needs to start flying. It would allow us to increase staffing, develop a website, and get our measurements set up in a durable, professional way as we work to effectively change systems to be more trauma-informed, welcoming, and inclusive.
About the Social Innovation Grant Fund
The United Way of East TN Highlands created the Social Innovation Fund in 2020. The fund will be used to support new programs aimed to meet social needs by filling gaps in our community related to health, education, or financial stability. Nonprofit or community organizations with programs less than 2 years old are eligible to apply. You must be a 501(c)3 or covered under one in order to apply.
